For the past 163 years, the Drayton Fair has brought together family and friends to celebrate our agriculture roots. To reach such a milestone is a testament of your commitment to your community and rural traditions.
This year's theme "Catchin' Farm Fever" promises to be another family fun filled weekend. Whether it is the 4-H competition, Truck and Tractor Pull, or everyone's favourite, the Demolition Derby, there is something for everyone.
Thank you to The Drayton Mapleton Agricultural Society for their tireless work in organizing this annual event.
Thank you to the many volunteers who give countless hours to ensure locals and visitors can enjoy the best of rural Ontario.
Agriculture and farming has changed a lot over the years, but it remains an important part of our communities. It is my hope that locals and visitors will rediscover the joys of farming at this year's Drayton Fair. The opportunities in agriculture and our rural communities are almost limitless.
On behalf of the Government of Ontario, I want to wish everyone a wonderful 163rd Drayton Fair.
